This hour meter is nice, I like it with a few gripes. I hate these things with a couple buttons to control several functions, so to use it you need to learn the many button combinations. I would prefer there to be a menu that would scroll through the options with information on the screen as you go. Example, for this device to lock it, so it stops counting hours when you are hauling your bike around: Press menu 4 times to display TOT for total hours. Within 3 seconds press menu and set, hold for 5 seconds. To unlock it: Press both menu and set twice. There are similar sequences to learn for other functions as well. My other problem I had when mounting the device was the very small self tapping screws. One screw snapped off before it was half way in. I ran to the hardware store and bought two 6-32 SS screws and a tap. Much better now, and not a big deal at all. I did not use the tape, but it looks like it would do the job. I'm not sure aboutaccuracy or water resistance as I just put it on my bike the other day.

Works great, easy to mount, just pick a bolt. I just don't like that I can never remember the sequence to enter and exit lock mode. I wish it had been just holding a button and not a sequence you have to remember.
