I really sweat removing the axle retainer nuts on my Honda ATC after reading the service manual. Warnings abound about how tough it is to remove the nuts. I paid the price for these as a result of reviews, and one in particular that indicated these were very well made. They are. The steel is thick and heavy with excellent hardness. The reviewer even admitted to abusing them a bit, but they still came through nicely and without evidence of his abuse. These come in a set, and two are definitely needed at the same time to do the job. They have 3/8" square insertion openings for breaker bar and or torque wrenches (for proper re-assembly), and 'stubby' handles for slipping over long 'cheater bars. (e. g. a length of pipe) to provide appropriate restraint leverage for the torques involved. Tollerances on the jaw openings are very tight, and they fit nicely on four surfaces of the nut for a better bite. I recommend these wrenches highly, and I am a very tough grader.

This is exactly as they said. It was ordered for my husband and he is very pleased with it.

I liked the thickness of material, fit the nut without twisting or falling off to the side. The 1/2" drive for breaker bar was a plus. The tool made this repair a smooth operation.

Honda Recon axle nut and locknut. I tried to break them loose without these wrenches, and It was clear that I'd just mar up the locknut with giant channel lock pliers, so I bought these. Perfect. During reassembly, the locknut is torqued to 94 ft/lbs, so that's why they are pretty tight during disassembly, and even if you get it apart you can't put a torque wrench on your giant pliers during reassembly. If you plan to take care of you ATV, you probably want these in your tool box. These nice, heavy steel and fit perfectly.
