I bought two of these wheel chocks for a fat tire and some narrow tire dirt bikes. I have had them mounted on a wood planked trailer, exposed to the elements 24/7/365, for over 6 years - rain, sun, snow. They are wonderful and never fail. No corrosion at all. Unbelievable. The Pit Posse Sticker is still hung on there! With the fat tire bike (BW200) I just stacked removable 2x4s (3) up front at an angle and in the crook then made some side blocks for thwarting front tire wiggle of the short fat wheel when it is in the chock. The other chock (same type) holds a KLX 140, CRF 230 and CRF250L just fine with no supplemental wood chocks necessary. I did some research before I purchased these and am very glad I chose this model which is well made and perfect for the job. Pit Posse provided high quality mounting hardware which I also appreciate. Am very happy to have purchased these wheel chocks.

This device is not hard to mount the base plate on a wooden trailer bed. The wheel chock itself is attached with 4 bolts to the plate with an Allen wrench; my kit included the wrench and all necessary hardware. The first time I used the device I got off the cycle but did not put the kick stand down and after a few minutes while prepping the tie down straps I noticed the cycle start to tip over in one direction. My Harley has a 4" wide front tire so there is too much clearance on either side of the tire. I have to put the kickstand down to finish securing the tie down straps to the cycle and to the tie down rings. Otherwise, this device works fine. It is a bit hard to pull the cycle off/back from the rear brace because you have to overcome that thickness of metal. It took two people to pull it off the rear brace. I suppose I will just have to keep the kickstand down when attaching and removing the tie down straps. I wish there was a way to make this mount a bit snugger to fit my 4" tire. I have searched a lot on the internet and not found any devices that fits that narrow a tire--either too narrow or too wide--that will allow a cycle to stand by itself when pushed into the chock. If anyone does know of one to fit a 4" and. not up to a 6" tie I would like to hear about it.

I am so glad I purchased these. They are easy to install, easy to move (to the other installed base location), easy to get the motorcycle into an holds the bike just great. I purchases 2 of these with an extra Pit Posse PP3102 Additional Base Plate for a trailer. That lets me put one bike in the middle or to move the center chock to the outside so I can carry 2 bikes. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that it comes with bolts that must be removed with the included allen wrench. It is difficult to get the wrench in such a tight spot so it takes forever to get the bolts out and then back in at the new location. Also one bolt on each chock was so tight the allen wrench stripped the head. I replaced the bolts with standard hex head metric bolts that I can easily remove and replace with a rachet set. Now I can move the chock in under a minute.

One rugged and beefy motorcycle chock. I like the fact that it's adjustable.

High quality, well made, FAST shipping! Will comment if anything changes, but I expect these to work great with my KLX300 and TW200.
